The Philadelphia Love Run Half-Marathon
Breaking Barriers, Building Futures ran the Philadelphia Love Run Half-Marathon on March 26th, 2023, and raised over $2,000. The group that ran it consisted of Daniel Wright, Anthony Rocco, Tommy Leydon, and Ricardo Gomez. This was the first of many races we tend to participate in to continue to raise money and awareness for the Autism and Down Syndrome community. Thank you, everyone, for all the love and support. Let's create a better tomorrow! God Bless.
Alpha Kappa Psi 5k for Autism
Alpha Kappa Psi is a Seton Hall organization whose philanthropy is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Recently, the organization hosted and participated in a 5k run to raise funds and awareness for autism. The event brought together people of all abilities to participate and support a common cause. Members of the organization volunteered at the event, assisting with registration and course management. They also encouraged participants and cheered them on throughout the race. In addition, Breaking Barriers, Building Futures created a team of runners to participate in the 5k and raise money through pledges and donations. Our efforts were successful, and the organization was able to contribute significantly to the cause of autism awareness. Overall, our involvement in the event exemplifies our commitment to breaking down barriers and building a more inclusive future for all individuals.Â
